Horula collects nothing

No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Horula has no server that stores anything about you.

What stays on your device

Your alarms, cities, timers, stopwatch laps and sleep schedule are saved on your device only: in the browser's local storage on the web, and in the app's own storage on iPhone and Mac. Deleting the app or clearing the site's data removes them.

Location

On the web, Horula can ask for your location once to show today's sunrise and sunset. It is used on your device for that and never sent anywhere. Saying no changes nothing else. Sunrise and sunset for the cities you add come from a built-in table, not from your location.

Alarms and notifications

On iPhone, alarms are scheduled with Apple's AlarmKit, and on Mac with notifications. Both run on your device. Nothing about them leaves it.

Backups

Export writes one file to wherever you choose. Horula never uploads it.
